Short and snappy

Now for a short post from Bluesfest. I didn't stay for a whole lot of Michael Jerome Brown's set, but he obviously has a solid handle on traditional roots and blues music. He was accompanied by local blues harpist Steve Marriner and a couple of folks from the Steve Barry Band I didn't get a photo of.



I dig the soundhole pickup on Brown's 12-string.

He has a new album, This Beautiful Mess, out this fall and is playing Irene's Nov. 8. Steve Marriner is playing at The Irving Greenberg Theatre Nov. 2.
