Hot and cold

In early August I headed over to the House of Targ for some perogies and some Petra Glynt. She was heading up a well-stacked bill with Toronto's Ice Cream and local outfit Orchidae. Unfortunately, I missed almost all of Orchidae's opening set, so here's Ice Cream, starting with some keyboard action with Carlyn!

Petra Glynt has worked up a bunch of new material and even premiered a new, almost completely written song for an encore.

She's changed her setup from a floor tom to a machine, so there's a bit more running around now!

Post-hardcore

Back on August 2, I headed over to catch some punks playing non-punk music. Title Fight's Ned Russin now has a solo project, Glitterer, while Ghost Stories' Pat, who started things off, also drums with Torpor. Here's Pat!

Tall tales

Back in early July I hopped over to Pressed to check out a triple bill headlined by travelling Connecticut crew Ports of Spain. Teenage Fiction and Yarns were also on hand to help offer up a varied listening experience. Yarns were up first.
