Rockfour

"We've come a long" said singer Eli Lulai of Rockfour's trip to North America for a tour that took in Zaphod's. It was the Israeli group's third visit to Ottawa (they hit Zaphod's and Club SAW in rapid succession the previous year). Unfortunately, Ottawa has yet to respond, and both their Zaphod's gigs count among the worst attended I've seen. There were 10 people at the last one ... counting the bar staff. They were good, and it's nice to see a Rainbow Quartz band whose musical vision travels beyond the mid-1970s. Well, at least they got more people than Raging Slab ...

Still fooling about with the old shutter speed ...

I couldn't find a good picture of drummer Issar Tennenbaum. Too bad, since he was quite animated. Well, I'll get him next time they come to town. Who knows, their next show might get 15 people ...
