The pink and the black

Many moons ago I went to see Destroyer (Dan Bejar, also of The New Pornographers) where he was supported and backed by Frog Eyes. Oh, and there was this guy with a drum machine. Pink Mountaintops (former Jerk With A Bomb man Stephen McBean).
It was one of those happy occasions where an act I'd never heard of was good enough to inspire me to rush off to the merch table and buy his CD even before the show was over.
Anyway, McBean has since redubbed himself Black Mountain, gathered a band, released a widely acclaimed CD and is now out on the road again. He plays Babylon April 4 (a Monday - rats).
Anyway, here he is pre fame.



The Crystal Skulls - cool name! - of whom I know naught and The Banditas will provide support, as will the ever-popular "and more!"
