The drought is over

It's been clear for some time that Ottawa was in the grips of a serious case of Slim Cessna's Auto Club deprivation. The tall skinny feller with the gold tooth has always been a good draw, filling the Dominion a few times and attracting a sizeable crowd for his Bluesfest appearance. Unfortunately, the band's last scheduled appearance was shot down due to problems at the border - folks was hurtin'. Not this time around! With heartfelt apologies from Slim for their delayed appearance and a barn burner show they set things aright.

You'll see more of Slim and Munly soonish (by the weekend, work allowing) as well as the rest of the folks (Dwight Pentecost, John Rumley, Shane Trost and 17-year-old drummer Gregory Garcia Jr.); but now I must rest. I pedalled all the way from Hunt Club. Rd. to get to this show in time and still missed Trevor Alguire's opening set, darn it, but exhaustion was a small price to pay.
