Calexico had their set cut in half by the cruddy weather, which did at least offer the opportunity for a quick run to the loo. This is what you get for singing songs about drowning. Then the threat of lightning passed and the group returned for another half-dozen or so songs of cinematic Mexican-American music. Worth the wet.

On the other side of the stage, Volker Zander on bass and pedal steel player Paul Niehaus engage in some back up vocalizing. Zander was nice enough to hand out bottled water and chat with the crowd while the unplanned intermission was going on.
