Live Dead

DOA must be Canada's longest serving punk rock band - they're like the Motorhead of punk. Joe "Shithead" Kiethley is the only original member, but they had an experienced lineup for their Barrymore's show. Bassist Randy Rampage has been on board since the genre-naming Hardcore 81, and the Great Baldini (a.k.a. Jan Rodgerson) has done his time as well. These guys kick it out live, with Joe in particular showing off rock jumps that would do credit to a punk half his age. Joe has kept active running Sudden Death Records, recording a solo album and writing a book, I Shithead: A Life In Punk, but his real claim to fame will always be as the hoarse-voiced frontman of DOA.

Joe.

Randy Rampage was quite mobile, even with the leg brace.

The Great Baldini!

Dead On Arrival action!

"This is the wanking part of our set!"

Despite Joey's prodigious jumping this was the best pic I could get.

Big finish!

They recently rereleased their classic War on 45 with a bunch of extra tracks. Edwin Starr's always timely War and I'm Right You're Wrong got a run through in their lengthy set.
