Make Rhume, Make Rhume!

Jon Bartlett's rock outfit Rhume has once again staggered to its feet - mightier than ever before! Damned if I can remember who was backing him up last time I saw him play with Rhume (it was Kelp's 11th anniversary bash ... or was it the 10th?), but this time around he had Chris Page and John J. Higney on guitar, Jamie Gullikson on drums and Jarrett Bartlett on bass.

Give it up for the ape!

I think Jon may be an advocate of flour power.

Among those in attendance: Ace photog and birthday boy Aaron McKenzie Fraser.

At this point Jon went out into the street to serenade passersby and the odd club goer. As one late-night partier observed of Mr. Bartlett's trip to the great outdoors: "Mother was right, you do get all types in this neighbourhood."

Jon gives the Avant-Garde a great big smooch! (I'd better include this photo too, since I ran out into the street to take it).

Jon also decided to limber up a bit before heading back in.

John and Jarrett were both sadly underrepresented in my pictures, but here they are.

Chris Page shows off his guitar.

Bartlett perches!

More perching action!

And we'll end things with some dual-vocal action.

A super-entertaining show, and they've even written a new song. Can a performance at Kelp's 12th anniversary weekend in April be far away?
