Lemony fresh

Ty Segall is a man of many talents ... he's performed in The Epsilons, The Traditional Fools and one of my favourite lo-fi garage combos, Sic Alps. He's also produced a lot of San Francisco Bay Area scuzz rock, including most of the output of fellow travelers Charlie & The Moonhearts. His profile has had quite a bounce of late. I first saw his name in a Dusted review of his one-man-band album back in February, now it seems it gets checked in every writeup on the genre that passes under my eyeballs.

Shouty action! Ty had just bought his Danelectro.

Despite Emily Rose's somewhat Gothic appearance, she did in fact smile a couple of times.

They're going to be back in Canada in September (after a stint in their home patch, then up along the West Coast and across), but no dates in Ottawa alas, and no space to fit them in, so Montreal September 16 is as close as they'll get.
