Bluesfest: Reignwolf

As I mentioned in the post before last, I went off to see a bit of Hey Rosetta. Unfortunately I arrived too late to see or hear much of anything. It was so brief that I forgot to post either of the two photos I took, so here goes!

For the record, they were, as usual, lauded far and wide as one of the festival's best performances. On to the real subject of this post, ReignWolf, who seems to have enjoyed an exceptionally busy 2012. This past month he was touring the U.S. midwest to the the delight of many. His performance is certainly high energy. So he's not the first performer to play both drums and guitars (though most stick to kick, a la Mississippi Grover and Bloodshot Bill), he's still good value.

Guitar action with ther performer also known as Jordan Cook!

Howling action!

Yes, he does play the full kit. A little over here ...

And a little over there.

He doesn't do it all himself for the whole set. An extra guitarist and drummer were pulled on for part of the show.

The whole lot!

Pretty good, though other lo-fi garage blues combos (the aforementioned Bill and Grover, Bassholes, Harlan T. Bobo etc.) are more my thing.
