Step into the light

After catching some old-timey music at the Hard Rock Stage I went over to watch some new-timey music at the Subway Stage. As has benn noted elsewhere, it was "Loud Music For the Kids" that Tuesday, with Alexisonfire following Moneen's set with some racket-making and jumping all their own. Personally I prefer Alexisonfire; I find their riffs crunchier and generally more Sabbath-like.

Bassist Chris Steele is well-lit.

Wade MacNeil likes him some Rancid.

Then it was off to try and find a good spot for Arcade Fire. Alexisonfire is touring Australia right now, but will be back in Canada for some touring in November and December, albeit without anything scheduled in Ottawa (yet).
  • Show reminder: Christina Maria and The Rebel Wheel roll into Zaphod's; Owen Steel and Doug MacNearey perform at The Rainbow.
