Look way up

I had high hopes that I'd be seeing a lot of cool music last night. Unfortunately after cycling over to Random House (a.k.a. 854 Bronson Ave.) I began to feel distinctly under the weather. Bed-rest being the better part of valour I cycled back home and watched an inexplicably sulfurous remake of Le Deuxieme Souffle. Even more inexplicable - why I didn't rent Melville's original, not that the second version is all that bad. Speaking of strangely lit movies, that brings us to the start of April once again and The City Above who fit in nicely with their laconic spacerock.

Guitarist Ross Henwood and drummer Ken MacLean look over yonder.

No photos of bassist Andria Lemmons, since it seems I have a knack for catching them when they're going without. Their next show is at the Cajun Attic, April 29.
