Yesterday's Ring was born out of noted Montreal punk rockers The Sainte Catherines. In fact they share a near-identical lineup. Like many a punk rocker before them they've taken inspiration from country music via the usual entryway drugs: Johnny Cash covers and Nudie shirts. They cite folks like Steve Earle as an influence and do a pretty good job of crossing the line between hardcore and hard likker.

They've got a couple of Quebec dates coming up, in Joliette in May and the capital in June.
