The Double Pumpers

Ottawa's premier power trio, The Double Pumpers, recently released their second CD, "II" (wait, wasn't that the name of a Chickens' CD?) and played a show at Babylon (with Montreal's Starvin' Hungry and the premier performance of The Mighty Eagle Band as openers - you can see pictures of them at Birdman Sound). Dave Martendale on guitar, Paul "Yogi" Granger on drums, Damien Sawka on bass. At one time, Damien was in five different groups: Jake Lovetart, Yogi and the Lunatics, The Hi Lo Trons, Ukrainia! and the Pumpers. Since then he's cut down to the latter three (I think). Here they are rockin' the crowd at an earlier Babylon show opening for The Blues Explosion (formerly known as The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion).
