Bluesfest: Whale Tooth

Whale Tooth were the first band I saw at Bluesfest that I knew nothing of but was glad to become acquainted with. Their festival bio had words like "jazz" and "sprinkled" and "pop rock" in it, which led me to believe they would less extroverted and high volume than they turned out to be. I suspect they'd appeal to Metric fans.

Frontwoman Elise LeGrow is, as they say, the real deal.

They're playing tonight in Montreal, no doubt as part of the vast music festing going on there.
