Bluesfest: Monkeyjunk

And now for some actual blues at Bluesfest, courtesy of local leading lights Monkeyjunk. Part of my inspiration for going off to see them was the brain-crushing sound of Bedouin Soundclash's main stage set, another was that Whale Tooth, who I really wanted to see, hadn't started their set, but mostly because they're quite good at what they do.

After that it was off to the Hard Rock Stage for something toothier. Right now the band is steeling themselves for a sold-out performance in Wilno, but they'll be back in town after a couple of other Ontario dates for a pair of shows at Irene's Oct. 6-7.
  • Show reminder: Black metal theorists Liturgy rock Zaphod's with an assist from Klovenhoofs and PC Worship; Take Down Frosty is at The Rainbow.
