Kicks and shakes

Back to Babylon, where The Blind Shake put on an awesome, high-energy set. They were definitely the unexpected surprise of the show. I'd say they were the highlight but The Holy Cobras and Grand Trine put on such great sets it would be unfair to single any combo out. I zipped over to buy some of their CDs after their set and discovered they have a couple of collaborations with outsider guitarist Michael Yonkers of Microminiature Love fame.

Mike Blaha stares. Dig that duct-tape jacket customization and baritone guitar.

Now that's what I call a kick! Jim shares both a mother and a haircut with Mike.

I think Dave Roper got most of the duct tape. He sure does enjoy punding those skins.
