In the loop

After the noisy gig at 373 Bronson Ave. I wandered over to Babylon. I even got their in time to catch every set - huzzay! First up, The Holy Cobras, who keep getting deeper and deeper into outerspace. Their sound is definitely headed into Hawkwind and Spaceman 3 territory.

Danny models the yellow look.

Danny had a new reverb maker for his voice, and a new (to me anyway) bass player in Ryan, formerly of Fucked Corpse.

After their Gaga records Weekend show everyone said Kristal should move over to drums on a full-time basis, and so she has!

Rod's always by the side of the stage. Thus all the solo photos.

And now, over to DJ Eric Espig for the happening sounds of yesterday's tomorrow today.

Their next show is March 19 at Random House, the venue formerly known as Cozzie's at 854 Bronson Ave. They'll also have a 7-inch record out on Telephone Explosion some time.
  • Show reminder: I expect a lot of folks at this show will be heading over to Babylon again to see Japanther, Black Feelings and The Shakey Aches. I know I was going to, then I heard that Cauldron, Rottaway, The Mistress and Naarkon were going to be at Mavericks - tough call! The Elmdale House hosts Nicolette Lagace and Apolitik. The Uglysuit, Shayna Zaid and The Catch are at Zaphod's. The Alaska Army Band and Dan Somerville's Plues Project play The Rainbow.
