Jim MacAlpine, Michael Catano, Mark Mullane and Mark Colavecchia make up North of America. The group split in 2003, but they unsplit this year - even though they have members on different coasts - just in time to head out on tour with Ted Leo. Lots of people in the crowd seemed delighted to have them back ... I also heard a few people give them a resounding "meh." I thought they were okay, with their everybody-sings-but-you-can't-dance-to-it post punk. Didn't hold a candle to Ted, though.
Them North of Americans.

Mark Mullane works the microphone.

I've no idea who the rest of the band is, so here's some anonymous pictures, starting with the bassist - take that, you!

The evil grinning drummer (and sometimes guitarist and singer). A really vigorous player, he busted the head of his snare.

The other guitarist (and sometimes drummer).

Post-punk action!

A vigorous performance.
