Seeking treatment

Gad, no sooner have I posted a blog update featuring one Davey Quesnelle, another one comes along! Since we are in Ottawa Explosion territory, that is not surprising: He played in something like five different acts (that may not be a festival record), starting with the band he could most call his own (since it started as a solo act) Male Nurse. It started out back in 2006 in the vein of Sufjan Stevens, now it's in the style of early Replacements. Certainly one of my favourite sets of the fest.

But first, a wee drink.

It could be days before we see him again (okay, it'll be Tuesday when he performs with Pregnancy Scares at Babylon, opening for White Lung).
  • Show reminder: Chang-A-Lang, Celery Troff and The Cowards play The Avant Garde Bar; Nick Kuepfer, Khora and Silent Land Time Machine appear at Zaphod's; Raw Sugar hosts Laura Grill and Friends On Friends; Capital Beats and The Riot Police play Irene's; Vendetta and The Cutmen seek their bloody revenge at The Elmdale.
