Collective action

First time I saw the Amalgamation was at Mavericks, the odd men out in a fairly folk-oriented lineup including Old Crowns and The Property Line. I found them energetic but not my cup of tea. They were just as energetic when opening for Yukon Blond and Wooden Sky, still a bit eccentric, but I enjoyed them more.

In addition to regulation guitarist Jeff Bertrand and bassist Brandon Walsh (who was playing guitar last time), we have saxophonist Sean Done at left and Brodie Conley, who sometimes help out on guitar and keys.

I shot Bradley Martel from between amplifiers. Photographing conditions were less than ideal due to a huge crowd.

And that was that.
