Just peachy

The final show of August in the basement at 854 Bronson Ave. also featured the debut of Peach Kelli Pop (named after the Red Kross song, I presume) at a show also featuring The Smith Westerns and Suppositories. Allie Hanlon is the brains behind the operation - she also plays drums for The White Wires (and also the Misclits and Felines). As for her own solo musical output, after a youthful flirtation with synth-pop, she went lo-fi bedroom garage. Live she recruited sister Emily on keyboards and tambourine shaking, Davey Quesnelle of many bands on bass and Wires frontman Ian Manhire on drums.

Allie's heading to the West Coast (possibly to Fresno, to grow a mutant afro), but there will be one last pre-departure gig at the Bytown Tavern with The Visitors and White Wires.
