I made a couple of trips out west in July and late August-early September for family reasons, and this trip out to Zaphod Beeblebrox on Sept. 9 was for a show headed up by Young Galaxy. The openers were Orienteers, a band featuring well-known local musicians Tom Thompson, who's played pedal steel for a number of folks, and Ben Wilson of That's The Spirit, Polytones, Paperjack, etc.

Brennan Pilkington of Department of Foreign Affairs was on hand to drum.



Ben plays guitar and percussion.



Tom slides.



Tom slides less flashily.



Brennan blurs.



More guitar, less percussion.



The whole lot! I should have taken a few steps back.



To stomp or not to stomp, that is the question.



And so on.



My wide-angle lens is just a shade too slow for Zaphod's without a flash.



... which may be why I used it for this shot (flash, that is).



Probably should have sped up the shutter at the same time.
