All together now

Despite the ongoing grumbling about the amount of blues being offered at Bluesfest, it's not actually that hard to see someone who's undoubtedly steeped in the genre. Joe Louis Walker is a good example; he's played with a blues Who's Who and even palled around with Mike Bloomfield. I didn't think his set got off to a running start (I actually wandered off a couple of times) but things were undoubtedly cooking as they came to a close.

The man himself.

A went of to see what was happening at the Black Sheep Stage with DNA, but returned soon enough to find Walker and Co. had been joined by the Texas Horns.

Things were definitely being kicked up a notch.

I confess I wandered off again, to see a bit of The Yardbirds and some Xavier Rudd, then headed back again - this time they were joined by David Maxwell.

Chaffey Brother Curtis also put in a showing.

Obviously a pro, and he has many more dates to go on his current "Witness to the Blues" tour.
