Hello and goodbye!

Following the fine show by The Diableros and Young Husbands, I whipped across downtown to see The Long Timers, The Fucking Machines, Army of St. Joan and Rocket Surgery. Rocket Surgery was playing its first and last show ... as I walked in sometime past 11 p.m., I caught the last 15 seconds and took this one picture.



That's them, then. On to The Long Timers! Their short set of 70s-lovin' hard rock was performed sans regular bassist Rene, who was off visiting family in the Maritimes. This left Johnny to handle both the bass and vocals. He did a good job, considering he had about a week to learn the bass parts.
