Occasional showers

Ottawa's Amalgamation have a new album out, Permutations, and as band's are wont to do they held a release show. Mugshots provided the location and Grime Kings and Scattered Clouds provided the opening acts. Best of all, despite the rainy afternoon the weather mostly cooperated.

First, Grime Kings got all dolled up and prformed as a trio.

Scattered Clouds played a very impressive set. I thought they sounded less atmospheric than they did at their Pressed gig earlier this year. Althought their instrumentation is different, they still make me think of Morphine.
