Winter camping

I popped over to Club SAW last night to check out Camp Radio and Winchester Warm. It seems like a surprisingly long time since I've caught Chris Page, Scott Terry and Dave Draves in action - in fact it was May of last year during Kelp's 16th birthday celebrations. Since then Camp Radio has released their second LP Campista Socialista (featuring a gatefold pic from yours truly) and been raved about hither and yon. As for Winchester Warm, it's a duo featuring Matt and John from Poorfolk.

John sings! It's a more melancholy combo than Poorfolk.

Orienteers/That's The Spirit's Ben Wilson was on hand for some extra guitar for much of the set.

Camp  Radio also put on a great set. It went by super-fast; I was genuinely wondering where the time went when Chris announced they were on their last two songs (barring the encore). I thought Dave and Scott's vocals sounded particularly good this time around.

It was a good show, but somehow I doubt any of the photos will be ending up inside a gatefold anytime soon ...
