Speech!

PrufRock Shadower and Sergio "Hyfidelik" Geurra set the dividing line between acoustic and electric with a few of their own compositions at Jam For Japan. Both men have made names for themselves on Ottawa's thriving slam poetry scene, and were in competing teams for last year's Canadian Festival of Spoken Word.

I liked their last bit the best.
  • Show reminder: Invasives, Kettle Black and Eugene and the Eugenics play The Rainbow; The Rural Alberta Advantage and Hooded Fang are at Ritual; Motivator release their new tape at Cafe DeKcuf (I heard a snippet at The Record Shaap and it sounds great!) along with Caulfield and Bear Trap at Cafe DeKcuf. The Invasives invade The Rainbow; since it's May Day, you can also catch the May Day Singers and some knowledge at the Avant-Garde.
