The king and them

The rock section of the Jam for Japan was rounded off by Wise, Young & King. They've made more than a few appearances in my show reminders but this was the first I'd been able to see the classic rock-loving quartet.

First we have Myles Bell and Alan Charlton, the group's two guitarists.

Alan sometimes drops the guitar; bassist Chris Terkuc Colin Wolfson and drummer Alex Scott round out the band.

I confess I prefer them when they have two guitars cranking it out.

Their next gig is in Oshawa May 7; their next Ottawa show is at the Live Lounge May 19.
  • Show reminder: Fatality, I, Colossus, Naartok and Barrow Wight play loud at Cafe Dekcuf; Jeffery Straker and Glenn Nuotio are on the NAC's Fourth Stage; the ever-busy Celery Troff and Hawt Rawk Robawt play Maxwell's; Deadhorse gallops into Zaphod's; The Beauties are at the Elmdale. Static Revolt and Deadzone are at the Avant-Garde. Last but not least, the Kelp Weekend kicks off with a performance at Kichessippi Brewery by Jim Bryson with Matt Essoudry's Mash Potato Mashers and Flecton Big Sky.
