You can see by the audience's enthusiastic attempt to strangle Kris that the set went very well indeed!
During some extra-enthusiastic lynching action the gallow ended up in pieces (which I believe makes this update breaking noose ... nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!); one bit of nail-studded wood was tossed about with alarming abandon. That's show business!
