Los Angeles' Orgone was among the bands I was looking forward to checking out at Bluesfest. The Cali crew is big on funk and soul, as am I. Nonetheless, I found them working out stuff a little too extensively for my sunbaked patience to withstand. I suspect they're a band better suited for clubs. Bring them back and put them on a bill with the Souljazz Orchestra, I say! Now let's meet some folks.
