It takes all kinds

Heavy music comes in many forms, and if you wanted something close to the full spectrum, the House of Targ was the place to be: The NWOBHM-to-the-max of Thunderkok, classical moves from Devah Quartet and whatever Muffler Crunch is. This was the first show for Thunderkok, and they went the extra mile with the stage props and some over-the-top stage posturing. Here's some guitar action with David!

Muffler Crunch are put on a fantastic show, and this was one of their best. They're playing at the Dominion at the end of the month (October 28, to be precise) with Boom Creek and Slim'N'Popular and also have a new EP on the way. Here's Luc!

Toronto's Devah Quartet finished the evening with a diverse set showing off their classic and metal influences; not everything was what you would call "heavy" - as they said themselves, sometimes you have to switch things up a bit. Here's violinist Emily!
