Bluesfest: Conor Oberst

After a bit of Kalle Mattson, the first big-name out-of-towner of the day was on offer; Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst. Apart from founding (along with his brother) the highly respected Saddle Creek records, he's also credited as one of the best songwriters of his generation. I like him, but unlike many people whose opinion I know and respect, have never been really blown away. His band is certainly top notch, though I'm afraid all identities are approximate.

And here's Conor Oberst, looking snazzy, and an impressively hatted David Rawlings, best known for playing with Gillian Welch (who also made an appearance to sing on some versions of her own tunes).
