Next up, Ab Irato. For those of you who haven't kept up with their Latin, it is the legal term for In Anger - appropriate name for a hardcore punk band, eh? I can't find any word on who these folks actually are, so on to the pictures. First, the band one-by-one.

They were going to be the penultimate act, but since Bunchofuckingoofs didn't make it, they closed the night off in style.

A bunch of punks

The folks from Ab Irato have compiled a 30-track collection of hardcore punk from bands across Canada; Harshey, four-stroke and The Bella Bombs all have a track on the CD, so Ken Vermin organized a CD release show at Mavericks to allow the locals, Ab Irato and Toronto's Bunchofuckingoofs to strut their stuff live. Unfortunately the Goofs misplaced their guitarist and couldn't make it; other than that everything worked swell.

First up, Harshey - who contributed Shag Rug Blues to the comp.









Four-stroke were up next - their tune on CPR is Anti-You. They started off with their four-man lineup ... Ken quickly left guitar duties to Chris.



Ken lets his true feeling show during Fuck Ottawa.





Also on the set list, a cover of the Subhumans' Oh Canaduh.



Jon did double duty - "You may soon capture a heart attack on film."
