Dear fellows

Melodrama is too often the bastion of sappy pop groups (not that there's anything wrong with that). In the hands of Murray Lightburn and his fellow Dears, emotional music gets the thundering musical backdrop it deserves. First a few introductions ...

Murray Lightburn. Not a hard name to remember.

Keyboardist-flautist Valerie Jodoin-Keaton.

Guitarist Patrick Krief is obviously a graduate of the Elmer Ferrer school of grimacing.

Keyboardist Natalia Yanchak isn't letting a few months pregnancy get in her way.

Bassist Martin Pelland was a very active stage presence, and warmed up with a Pixies riff.

Drummer George Donoso III gave his kit a serious wailing.

Pelland and Krief rock out duo style.

Jodoin-Keaton provides some flute.

Pelland started off at the keyboard.

More hot keyboard action.

Some dual vocalizing.

Rock action!

An excellent show.
