It's a dirty business

I've crossed paths with Dirty Donny a couple of times. The now-California based low-brow artist (to borrow a description from fellow deranged genius Robert Williams) was in town about the time that the first Gaga Weekend was getting ready to start up and I snapped a photo of him outside the Bytown tavern with Luke Martin and Ian Manhire. Since then the Dirty one has spewed out freaks, geeks and merch galore - most importantly his striking new tome Monster Revolt! Since he spent his deformative years here, he was back in town Dec. 4, 2010 corrupting local morals with his new tome at a release show that also featured some Punk Rock Karaoke.

Dirty Donny asks the eternal question: "Frankenstein monster or wizard?"

You, too, could have owned one of these lovely silk-screens (Well, you still can, via his website).

And now for some Punk Rock Karaoke with Remi Royale!

And a few local musicians took part, like Davey Quesnelle.

Then it was on to the Deady City Rebels ...
