By any other name

Ottawa's hottest new combo may well be The Johnnies: When I tried to catch their debut show at Irene's on Nov. 19, 2010, the place was sold out before I got there. Grr! Fortunately their opening gig for Garaga in frosty December at the Dominion was not quite so jammed. So here we go with Johnny Jump-Up, Johnny Tonic, Johnny Mental and Johnny Money!

Not neccessarily in that order. Blog followers will likely recognize The Centretown Cripplers' Mel Sturk and Devin Cook at left and The Secret Loves' Christine Chesser. (Folks who have been around longer may recall Chesser playing fiddle in Jimmy George). Drummer Sarah Wotherspoon is just starting out her musical career.
