Get on board

There were a bunch of places I could have been Friday night - the Jesus and Mary Chain tribute at Targ, or one of the Balconies' final shows at Club 27, but instead I headed off to Bar Robo from some dead-on 1980s style synth-pop from Noah and angular pop via Look Vibrant, brought together by the Arboretum folks. First up, Noah, who dressed up for the occasion in white sequinned jacket, cap and pants and black fingerless opera gloves, as one does when one is doing synth-pop to perfection (also a fab cover of Prince's I Would Die For You). Here's Noah!

He really went the extra mile with his presentation.

On to Look Vibrant, a Montreal combo with a fondness for quirky pop sounds. Here's guitarist Matt and guest bassist Cedric!
