Whatever happened to the unlikely lads?

On the face of it, Daiquiri might seem a perverse choice to open for Andrew W.K. Put a spazz rock duo - Faith No More-loving weirdos at that - on before the stadium-rocking partying puker? Well, when you consider AWK's past on the fringes of noise rock and his past with Bulb Records, it isn't so strange.
First time I saw Daiquiri, opening for the great, the magnifico Bobby Conn - my personal favourite Antichrist - I thought they sucked. Horribly. They were much better opening for Mr. W.K. And they have a funny (or is that weird?) website.

Mike Hickey models the police-tape-and-apron look that was in fashion that week.

Mike's in Montreal now, dunno about Leigh. Also, I'll just mention Tom Green here. No particular reason. Tom Green. Done!
Daiquiri will be appearing at Babylon March 25 with Les Georges Leningrad, Pianosaurus Rex, and Les Alumettes - isn't that the best news you've ever heard? It isn't? Sorry I brought it up.
