Thursday night I was back at the House of Targ for some more record release action, courtesy of Those Gulls. The local combo has just released Forevermore, and were strutting their post-indie rock styles in conjunction with sets from Saint Claire and Kings Quest.
Saint Clair was already in action when I walked down the stairs.
Brassy action!
Rhythm section action!
Jeffrey sings one.
Matthew sings!
Tromboning action!
More saxophone!
Percussive action!
Casey works the keys.
Blue action!
Kings Quest followed with some pop in a dreamier mode. Drummer Owen Deery was eager to get underway ...
Eric McQuiggan rocks the Tele.
Singalong action with Jenna Johnson and Anna Sharrett!
More rhythm with Owen and Derek Ledoux!
More guitar!
More Jenna!

Extra Owen!
Eric sings!
Bendy action!
More singalong action!
And finally more Derek.
Last time I saw These Gulls was at Cafe DeKcuf last year, when their lineup had expanded to include Kate Schroeder and Jake Ting.
This time around Ornaments' David Pierce was on hand to add even more guitar
Peter hits!
Kate sings!
Guitar action with Jake and Andrew!
Andrew sings!
Jake frets!
Kate multitasks - playing keyboards and operating the band's light show.
That is, a bunch of floor lamps.
More Peter!
David rocks on!
And I didn't take any good photos of Kurt.
Other than that, a fine time was had.
