Day 2 at the Ottawa Explosion added the Dominion Tavern to the list of venues, so showgoers could bounce back between the Dom and The 27 Club. Scattered Clouds kicked things off. Last time I saw them was also at Ottawa Explosion, back in 2016 at Club SAW. They're playing a few shows out west, then coming back to Ottawa for a Bluesfest gig. Here's Philippe!
Illuminated action!
Jamie hits!
More Philippe!
Jeff from Pony Girl was rounding out the trio this time.
And so on!
Even more Jeff!
The whole lot!
The bands at The Dominion ran to a more punk sound, starting with Omerta. Here's Sierra!
Guitar action with Rick!
Patrick hits!
Bass action with Aaron!
More Sierra!
Extra Aaron!
More Pat!
Even more Sierra and Aaron!
Punk action!
Quebec City trio Victime are also pretty punk rock, in a jittery kind of way. Here's bassist Laurence!
Drummer Samuel hits!
More Laurence!
Guitar action with Simon!
More Samuel!
Laurence sings!
Well-decorated guitar action!
Extra Laurence!
Rhythm section action!
I forget who was supposed to play at the Dom next (I believe it was Strange Attractor), but Faze, who were headlining, couldn't make it, so Ottawa's The Shame were called in as a replacement. Here's Mikey!
Kieran (also Doxx, Creep Wave) hits!
Bass action with Derek!
More Mikey!
Extra Kieran!
Hold-on-a-second action!
Even more bass!
There was plenty more that night, but that's for another post ....
