With the recent spate of warm weather, patio season is definitely here, and that means Mugshots can open up the courtyard for more outdoor rocking. Montreal's Silver Dapple did the headlining honours, with some support from Roberta Bondar and Organ Eyes.
Yes, Organ Eyes. I think this makes three shows in three weeks, or something like it. They're apparently taking a break after this spate of activity - no more performances until June.
Sam frets!
Roberta Bondar played a very heavy set; they sounded very Sonic Youth-like. Gary has switched from synth bass to a Rickenbacker, which might have had some effect.
Tyler hits!
The folks of Montreal quartet Silver Dapple say they like fuzz and poppy, and they were indeed fuzzy and poppy, sort of shoe-gazy.
Percussive action!
A lovely night for both weather and music.
