Hidden depths

On to The Flats ... since I ducked out to see what was going on at The Dominion I missed the start of their set, but returned in time to catch frontman Michael peterson, late of the Belfast Cowboys, singing some subdued acoustic duty accompanied on by the backing vocals of his bandmates, his guitar and the steady percussion of Steve Jurgutis.

Michael and company.

And that was it since I headed off to The Dominion to see young ladies in various states of undress and The Action. The Flats' next shows are in a mini-tour of Toronto, Peterborough and Irene's here in Ottawa, Sept. 16-18.
  • Show reminder: Denmark's The Blue Van played a great set last time they were in town, and you can see them tonight at Mavericks with The Library Voices and The Grates; Austin Lucas, Huntley Slim and Silver Creek; The Jen Plummer Band is at The Rainbow; Clear performs at The Elmdale House.
