Yummy fur

Dan Boeckner and Alexei Perry are the two halves of Handsome Furs, in addition to being husband and wife. Dan may be better known for his duties in Wolf Parade, but having seen both bands live I confess to prefer the Furs. They're quite lively, which is why you might appreciate my photos of their set if you pop over to my Flickr account and check out the whole blurt there.

Pointing action! Alexei was trying to recall where the band played last in Ottawa (it was Mavericks, a show I attended but didn't photograph since my camera then, as now, was in the shop being repaired).



Fortunately Ms. Perry didn't sustain any medallion-related injuries from all her jumping and shaking.



I figure their next release will actually be an exercise tape.

They've got a Dec. 5 show at Lee's Palace in Toronto.
