As December was kicking off I clopmed over to Pourboy for the first time. The Somerset St. bar has an upstairs room that hosts shows, often associated with the Sitting On The Outside crowd. This quadruple bill featured a couple of new local acts, Sarin Gas and Magic Mommy, and a pair of visitors, Montreal latinx combo Estorbo and Toronto's Scorpio Rising. Sarin Gas was up first, featuring a slew of familiar faces. Here's the whole lot!
Gripping action with Audrey!
Percussive action with Brenda!
Bass action with Justin!
More Audrey and Felix!
Next up Magic Mommy, which once again has Felix on guitar, plus Sof from Doxx, and Aaron from Chloroform, plus Lix on guitar and Elo on bass. Here's some motherly action!
Aaron hits!
The whole lot!
Moshing action!
And so on!
Estorbo played a crunchy set of Spanish streetpunk. Here's singer Claudia, guitarist Andres, drummer Mauricio and bassist Carlos!
Rhythm section action!
Fisheye action!
Claudia works the crowd!
Guitar and elbow action!
Finally, Scorpio Rising ripped it up. Here's singer Arina, guitarist Harold, bassist Bee and part of drummer Dexter's arm!
The rest of Dexter!
Bendy action!
Arina works the floor!
More Arina and Harold!
Upstanding action!
And so on!
Back to the floor!
Extra Harold!
Bonus Bee!
All good stuff.
