Last month I headed over to Black Squirrel Books to check out a bill of solo performers, put together by Davey of Male Nurse fame to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his song-a-day for a year project. Also on the bill were Yarns and Day of Niagara, who opened. DON is the latest project from David Jackson, who's been busy with IMOO of late, but has also served in such outfits as Fucking Machines and Chandeliers.
Adjusting action!
Bookish action!
On to Yarns, and his really fine instrumental work. He'll be performing again this Friday at the Jamari Espresso House in Hintonburg with Nathanael Larochette on Friday, and at Bar Robo on August 2 with Amuse. Here's some see-through action with Martin!
And some non-see-through action ....
Shadowy action!
Next up,some stripey action with Davey!
Davey sings!
And so on!
Finally, since variety is the spice of life, Sad Canadian Boy wrapped things up with some bedroom DYI hip-hop.
Canadian action!
And that's it!
