There was only one place to be for a blog documenting the local music scene: Shawn Jam at the House of Targ. For those of you who missed the CBC story (or Neal Johnstone's writeup in the HoT zine), Shawn "Jam" Hill has played guitar in a heap of local bands, many of which have been featured on the blog: Klovenhoofs, Garaga and The Mighty Eagle Band to name but a few. He was injured in mysterious circumstances earlier this year and is recovering in hospital. The Shawn Jam was put together by bandmate Johnny Nash to help raise funds to support his family, and a bunch of local musicians performed, including a bunch of folks who haven't shared a stage in some time. Thunderuncle X got things off to a good start. Here's Jon!

Slim and Popular played next: Convenient for bassist Larry, who didn't have to go anywhere. Heres' drummer Dave, sans shirt as usual!

The next appearance was a bit of a surprise - it's been a good dozen years since Bitchin Camaros hit the stage together. This was Shawn's post-King Kung combo (if memory serves), and fellow bandmembers Johnny (Neck, Longtimers, etc., Adam (Boom Creek) and Jean reunited to help out. Here's Jean!
