You know how I can tell Canadian Music Week was on during the end of April? By all the bands from far-distant lands playing in town after doing their showcases and whatnot down in the Big Smoke - and when it comes to a far distance, it's hard to beat Hobart, Tasmania, home to popsters Heart Beach and Quivers. They shared the floor at Black Squirrel Books along with local combos How Far To Mexico and Valois, who were on first. Here's Charlie and Shannon!
The whole lot, with Megan and Don!
Extra Charlie and Shannon!
More Megan and Don!
A bit more Don!

Quivers played next. Here's some singalong action with mainman Sam and Angela!

They were followed by fellow Hobartians Heart Beach, who aren't quite done with Canada yet - they're playing at Bar Robo this Saturday with Galapagos. Here's Claire, Jaq and Jonathon!
Claire sings!
Jaq hits!
Even more Claire!
Jonathon sings!
More Jaq!
How Far To Mexico brought the evening to a close with their "jingle-jangle". Here's drummer Brian!
Jamieson (also of Shadowhand) sings!
Bass action with Brandon (also of Shadowhand, I saw them play at Pressed just a short while later).
Guitar action with Valois's Charlie and Jamieson!
The whole lot!
And that's it!
