Babylon hosted a benefit for University of Ottawa community radio station CHUO 89.1 last night with a bunch of fine local bands rocking out for the cause. It was also St. Patrick's Day, which likely brought a few more folks out.
First on the bill were Fevers, an indie electro band which I haven't seen before - I'm not sure I've even seen any of its members in action before, which is something of a rarity for an Ottawa band. They're quite a sharp unit if you have a hankering for outfits like M83, etc.
Over here we have bassist Jim Hopkins and guitarist-electronicist Martin Charbonneau, with drummer Mike Stauffer at back.

And on the left, guitarist (and occasional mandolinist) Colin MacDougall and keyboardist Sarah Bradley. The band has another show March 20 at the Mercury Lounge, and is doing Juno stuff March 30.

Next up , Roberta Bondar, who brought their smoke machine (not that you can really tell from this shot) and their alternately pretty and noisy indie rock.

I was particularly interested to see Boyhood, whose free online tunes have a very cool vibe. Caylie Runciman apparently put it together in-studio, then recruited Luke from The White Wires and a drummer to round things out live. It was still a little rough live, shall we say.

The Visitors finished things off with some short sharp blasts of their trademark explorercore.
