After sticking to its schedule to a truly remarkable degree, Day 2 of the Ottawa Explosion wrapped up with a set by Bad Sports. The trio come from Denton, Texas and are graduates of the Pete Townsend school of chord progressions. They really remind of bands like The Embrooks (and of course The Marked Men), with a bit more punk damage. Members Orville Neeley, Greg Rutherford and TV Daniel Fried have done time in groups like Mind Spiders, the Wax Museums and The High Tension Wires.
TV action!
Orville strums n' sings.
Gregory hits!
Singalong action!
Extra Orville!
Daniel sings!
People got a little carried away.
Orville bends!
More Greg.
The crowd goes wild!
The whole lot!
Their next album, Kings of The Weekend, is expected in mid-August.
- Show reminder: It's not music, but Susan Clement-Beveridge will be showing off some art at Oh So Good. James O'Brian and Gin & Juice perform at the Rainbow.
